Rottweiler Dog is one of the old breed also known as butcher’s dog in old times that pulls butchers carts. After the discovery in the early 1800s, they were started to adopt as watchdogs and draught dogs.

Its demand raised when it was used as police dogs. We’ve seen Rottweiler’s services in various operations such as messenger, ambulance, draught, guard dogs, and they are honored to be served by the military. 

Rottweiler is one of the popular breeds in the USA, many folks have adopted these as a pet. rottweiler dogs have a strong body structure. They need proper training and care. They are energetic, loving, faithful, and intelligent dog friend.

Rottweiler Dog Breed Appearance:

Originally the rottweiler’s are medium-large in size with massive heads. They are in black color with defined brown marks. They are powerful and heavy bone structure with a larger frame. Males are heavier than females. 

Rottweiler’s weight range is as follows:

In Male: 85-140 lbs.

Female: 80 – 100 lbs

Adult Rottweiler’s slightly longer than tall and height is as follows:

Male: 27 inches.

Female: 22-24 inches.

Ears: Originally Floppy ears 

Life span: 8-11 Years

Maturity Age: 2 Years

Coat Length: Short

Rottweilers Dog Personality:

Rottweilers are one of the ideal dogs for guarding and protection. They are well socialized and they love nicely along with people and other dogs. But keep in mind that males are a bit aggressive and dominant. Rottweiler dogs are intelligent, active and they act fully confidently. They need proper guidance and training from start. If they left them alone with no training and guidance they can become destructive. Aggression can be a big problem and can cause severe damage. Many owners faced the bites or bites attempts by rottweiler towards them and other dogs.  So owners should be knowledgeable, firm, and patient hand, they need to provide proper training and care. Rottweilers are not an ideal choice for first-time dog owners.

Rottweiler Dog Breed Nutrition:

Rottweiler Dogs should be provided with high-quality dog food. You can prepare dog food at home or purchase ready-made commercial dog food. Dog food should be used after your veterinarian’s approval. The diet of the dog should be suitable to the dog’s age and health condition whether it is the Rottweiler puppy or dog. Rottweiler’s have a problem that they get fat if they eat too many calories with no exercise, so exercise and walk is a must for the dog’s health. Not all human foods are safe for dogs, before serving any human food you should consult your veterinarian’s.

Fresh and clean water must be available to the dog all the time.
